Healing Scriptures

Healing is the ministry of Jesus the Christ of Nazareth.  We find evidence of this truth written in both Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed," and I Peter 2:24, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." 

It can't be plainer.  God loves you so much that He made a way for you to be saved from your sin and healed in your physical body. 

Following is a list of Scriptures that will help you know how  what to pray for your healing or the healing of those you are praying for.

HEALING SCRIPTURE
Exodus 15:26 "I will put none of these diseases upon thee...for I am the LORD that healeth thee."

Deuteronomy 7:15  "And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee."

Psalms 25:20  "O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Psalm 30:2  "O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me."

Psalms 34:9  "O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. "

Psalm 34:19  "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all."

Psalm 41:3  "The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed."

Psalms 42:11  "Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."

Psalms 46:1  "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalms 55:22  "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

Psalms 91:3  "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."

Psalm 91:15-16 "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."

Psalms 103:3  "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;"

Psalms 107:20 "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Psalms 116:10  "I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted."

Psalms 119:93  "I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me."

Psalms 119:50  "This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me."

Psalms 119:107  "I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word."

Psalms 121:2  "My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."

Psalm 147:3  "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Proverbs 3:7-8  "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."

Proverbs 4:20-22  "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."

Proverbs 16:24  "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."

Proverbs 17:22  "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Isaiah 40:29  "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."

Isaiah 40:31  "They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength."

Isaiah 43:2  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee."

Isaiah 50:7 "For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed."

Isaiah 53:4  "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:"

Isaiah 53:5  "With his stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 57:19  "Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him."

Jeremiah 17:14  "Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise."

Jeremiah 30:17  "I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds."

Jeremiah 33:6  "Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

Malachi 4:2 "But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves."


Matthew 8:17  "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses."

Matthew 15:13  "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."

Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."

John 8:36  "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

John 14 12-14  “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask[c] anything in My name, I will do it.

John 16:23  "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name."

Romans 8:2  "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

Romans 8:11 "He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

Romans 8:26  "The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities."

Romans 8:32  "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"

2 Corinthians 2:14  "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ."

2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil."

2 Timothy 1:7  "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Hebrews 13:8  "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

James 5:13-15  "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"

James 5:16  "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." 

1 Peter 2:24  "By whose stripes ye were healed."

1 John 3:8  "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."

I John 5:14,15  "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

3 John 1:2  "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
