Divine Faith is Supernatural Power, Oh, we of little faith!

What is faith? Faith is knowing that you know that you know. This is the kind of faith Jesus had and encouraged us to gain. Jesus talked about having faith in all aspects of our lives. This wasn’t idle talk, He knew that with faith we can overcome or achieve anything because if our faith is strong, we can tap in to the Divine Faith of the Father. Jesus is our source.

We are not to attempt to use faith to accomplish things that are not of God’s will because we can’t accomplish the things that are not of God’s will by using faith.   Faith only works if we are in God’s will. God’s will is for us to have the best of everything, but only the best, nothing less.  If we try to use faith to get something God doesn’t want us to have, or we don’t need, and we persistently believe for it our faith becomes witchcraft because we are out of God’s will and working in the flesh, which is witchcraft (sorcery) as Paul said in Galatians.

Galatians 5:19-21, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (expressing lust),   Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. "

So our faith can not bring us things of a un-Godly nature.

Faith is used in the Spirit, not the flesh. It is okay to use faith to heal the flesh or bring the flesh into the will of God, but not to gain things the flesh says we need or want. We often gain things of the world or flesh through our faith, but these are things that God can and will use to help us grow and glorify Him. Now the things we gain aren’t what glorify the Father, but it is our Faith that glorifies Him; and we receive these things to show that we have faith.  If we are working to satisfy the flesh we are committing the sin of sorcery. God operates only in the Spirit because God is Spirit.

Jesus was in the flesh but He had to be in order to live as an example to us and to atone for our sins.  He never gave in to the flesh or acted in a way that would satisfy His flesh if it was not in the will of the Father because He knew that the flesh will lie to you and tell you things that aren’t true; and if you believe the flesh those things will become true. (It is okay to act in a way to protect the flesh if the flesh is striving for God’s will.) Jesus always talked and acted in the Spirit, even on the cross, although He felt pain, Jesus acted only in Spirit because He knew that the flesh will always die but the Spirit lives forever. He refused to corrupt His Spirit. Jesus explained many times that faith is for believers. He expected us to gain faith.

Matthew 6:30, "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today   is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?"

Jesus explained as though He couldn’t believe our small amount or lack of faith when He talked about God clothing the flowers of the fields, knowing that God loves us so much more than He loves the flowers. He clothes the flowers because they can’t clothe themselves. We have grown accustomed to doing for ourselves and that is where we separate ourselves from God. He wants to do it for us, and all we have to do is let go and let God do it. We need to gain the faith Jesus talked about that the Father will do it. It isn’t up to us to do; it’s up to the Father.

Does magic (witchcraft) work? Sure it does but it’s a tool of satan and he will use it to gain our trust so we will follow him. We will feel powerful and have all that our flesh desires but we will be denying our spirit of the things it needs. Magic can make our flesh comfortable but deaden our spirit and our spirit is what we need to nurture through Jesus.

In Galatians Paul names witchcraft as one of the sins that will keep us from inheriting the Kingdom of God.  If it is so offensive to the Father, it stands to reason that He would not do anything by magic or witchcraft. He does everything by faith, Divine Faith.  Jesus expects us to gain this kind of faith so that the Father can make it work in our lives. Faith is stronger than magic or witchcraft when the faith we have is in the Father and not in false idols.

In Matthew 8:26, "And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm," Jesus was amazed at the lack of faith that His disciples had when they were in the boat and woke Him to calm the storm.

They were amazed that Jesus could do this, and He was amazed that they couldn’t. We are expected to have that amount of faith because if we demand the storm to be calmed and know that we know, it will happen because we are to have faith that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will calm all storms in our lives.

Our faith is to be used in our lives every day.  It is our faith that heals us.  It is our faith that wards off the attacks of the evil one.  Sure it is the work of the Father that makes it happen but without us having the faith the Father can’t heal us, protect us or give us what we need.  He must be asked, knowing that we know.

We say that we have asked God for peace in our world but haven’t prayed for those that we want peace with.   It is our lack of faith that is stopping it.   We think of them as heathens but should think of them as children of God just as we are because they are children of God.  We were once unruly to God just as those that we want peace with.  Why then shouldn’t we accept them just as Jesus did us and start praying for them as we would for ourselves?  Our kind of faith says they won’t accept Jesus.  Pray that they do accept Jesus so they too will want the peace we are praying for.  Where is our faith that they will be receptive to our prayers and where is our real faith that God can make it happen?

Pray that prayer will be returned to our schools so our children will grow up knowing how to pray. Pray that God will put an end to all abortions so that we will have more children growing up to pray.  Pray knowing that you know that you know.  We all believe that God wants to answer our prayers, but we don’t pray believing that He will.

In Matthew chapter 9 a woman with a blood disease knew that if she could just touch the garment that Jesus was wearing that she would be healed.  Her faith was such that she knew that she knew.

Matthew 9:22, "But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.  And the woman was made whole from that hour."

This woman’s faith was not distracted or wavering.  She knew that it would be done for her if she could just touch His garment.  She knew that the garment didn’t have any power but that the man wearing it did.  She knew that the Father would do anything for His Son and she was completely healed when she touched His garment.

Dwell on Matthew 9:22 for a moment.  "Thy faith hath made thee whole."  Jesus did not say, Thy faith can make thee whole.  Of course it can.  He said Thy faith hath made thee whole.   Faith is not a can or might.  Faith is a very positive Already Done.

How do we gain this faith?  We practice it.  We rise every morning with joy in our heart and the faith that God is going to take us through another day.  We need to do this every morning thanking God for the blessed day ahead of us and soon, after we have seen this work in our lives and had many blessed days, we will have the faith that Jesus is true to His word because we will be blessed every day.  We practice it by reading His Word and believing it. Yes there will be days when satan will come against us and try to give us doubt, but the Father will get us through it.  A day of blessing isn’t always a day without any trials but a day that we got through knowing that the Father was with us all the time.  That is a blessing.

Jesus prayed to the Father and gave thanks, not for the Father’s sake or for His sake.  Jesus spoke to Lazarus (a dead man) with the kind of faith that He wants us to learn and have.  He did it for our sake.  He knew when He called Lazarus from the grave that Lazarus would come out.  He thanked the Father in advance because He knew it would be done and wanted us to learn that it will be done.

John 11:41-44,  "Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. John And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. John And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."

Revelation 3:15, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. " Are we lukewarm in our faith?  We are if we are satisfied with where we are in our faith and not striving to improve it and move forward.  We know that God wants to give us our heart’s desire but do we know that He will?  We say, God wants me healed; but when we pray we are not healed.  We know God wants to heal, so what is stopping it from manifesting?  Our lack of faith is stopping it.  God does want to heal us and we pray knowing He can, but wonder, "Will He do this for me?  How am I any different from those that He has healed?  They asked and I asked.  They were healed, and I was not. They asked believing they had been healed.  I asked believing I would be healed, but am not."

Where is our faith?  We have been healed so we should quit acting as though we haven’t yet been, but will be.  We aren’t cold in our faith because we believe God will heal us, but we aren’t hot because we don’t believe He has yet.  Well get hot - because He has healed you. Accept that you are every bit as loved as any body else.  Accept that you have already been healed.  The stripes Jesus took in our place assured us we were healed.   Don’t stay lukewarm.

So divine faith is the Faith of God. No magic or tricks just Divine Faith (Supernatural Power).
