A LIGHT FROM BEYOND

To mine eyes, came a light from beyond.
It reached though the densest fog.
Its fingers carried a healing bond,
Sweeping away clouded skies.

To mine being, a new sun birthed in my day.
All blight disappeared in this blessed illumination.
An iridescent rainbow became the ultimate display,
As a light from beyond shone bright.

To mine heart, a warming incandescence spread.
A light from beyond cleared away the shadows.
Divine sanction bestowed from the Father's heart, led.
Leaving my entire future a spiritual elation.

I WILL TAKE YOUR PLACE

When your feet are so weary,
I will take your place.
My hands will forever hold you,
Shielding you from life's dismays.

When your legs grow very weak,
No longer able to stand on the firmest ground.
I will take your place.
Together we will always stand.

When your mind seems troubled,
You see no comfort in sight.
I will take your place,
Bringing ultimate peace to your heart.

When sickness threatens to conquer you,
Together we will walk along The Miracle Mile.
I will take your place,
Giving you the knowledge of faith.

When your eyes grow dim,
Age has taken your agility and sight.
I will take your place,
Guiding you through the darkness.

Be Not Afraid, My Child.
I will take your place,
For together We will walk,
Shielded in the spiritual light.

I will take your place, My Child,
When life's trials surround you,
Leading you safely through the good and bad.
Together We will walk hand-in-hand.

LORD SHOW ME THE WAY

Lord, Show me the way.
Somehow I got lost again.
I can't seem to find the right road,
I must take in this life.

Lord, Take my trembling hand,
For alone I cannot bear.
I know Your arms are strong.
My Father, Hold me close.

Lord, I need just a little help,
Making my footsteps more sure.
Together no paths can ever veer,
With You guiding me.

Lord, Show me the way.
My hands are so weak.
Without You there is no strength.
I am lost in this dismal life.

ONLY YOU MY PRECIOUS SAVIOR

Only You, My Precious Savior can guide me,
In times of trials I can barely withstand.
My illness has bonded me to hurt and dismay,
Leaving me with a torturous demand.

It is these times I reach out more,
Knowing You never refuse me,
Though my faith leaves me sometimes,
Each footstep has become hesitantly.

Only You, My Precious Savior knows my situation,
You feel my pain, twisting me inside.
You never leave me alone to make the walk,
Always staying by me for the trying ride.

When my hope falters in moments of great pain,
You tell me to walk in Your light,
A place where I can be safe in Your love.
Together we will win the fight.

Only You, My Precious Savior understands,
The trials I have to go through each day,
Holding me in Your arms of safety,
Showing me the correct pathway.

Giving me hope when my legs falter,
You strengthen my faith in times of hopelessness felt,
Giving me the will to overpower the sickness,
Together We will travel the spiritual veldt.

DON'T BE DISCOURAGED

Don't be discouraged, He waits to be,
Your pedestal for which to lean.
His hands can cover an open sore,
Clinging in your life.

When your foundation seems to crumble,
No pillar left to support.
There is always hope to lean on,
During the most needy times.

Faith builds a bridge to cross o'er.
The most torturous waters.
A garden of beauty waits,
Breathtaking to the eye.

Don't be discouraged, He is there,
No obstacle can't be overcome
His blood purifies us continually,
In His arms we can be whole again.

"When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses."
